Terms and Conditions of Participation
The organizer of this promotional giveaway is BIC Deutschland GmbH & Co. OHG (Ginnheimer Str. 6, 65760 Eschborn, Germany).
Participation in the giveaway is free of charge and is governed exclusively by these Terms and Conditions.
Giveaway Period
The giveaway begins upon publication of the Instagram posts, Instagram Reels, and/or TikTok posts announcing the giveaway and treasure hunt described below and ends exactly one month later, on August 31, 2026, or once all hidden winning lighters have been found in Berlin, whichever occurs first.
During this period, users will have the opportunity to participate in the giveaway by finding one of the winning lighters and redeeming their prize via the designated landing pages.
Participation
To participate in the giveaway, participants must find at least one of the ten hidden winning lighters located in Berlin. Each winning lighter contains a QR code on the back. By scanning the QR code, participants will be directed to a winner landing page where they must provide their personal information. Upon successful registration, the prize will be sent to the winner via email.
Participation is only possible during the giveaway period. Prize redemptions submitted after the closing date via the winner website will not be accepted. The landing pages will be deactivated and made inaccessible after the giveaway period has ended.
The organizer shall not be liable for incorrect information provided by participants or for any unlawful or unethical conduct by participants.
Eligibility
Eligible to participate are all natural persons who are at least 18 years of age. Participation is not restricted to customers of the organizer. Participants with limited legal capacity may participate only with the consent of their legal representative.
The following persons are excluded from participation:
- All persons involved in the conception and implementation of the giveaway;
- Employees of the organizer and operator; and
- Their immediate family members.
Furthermore, the operator reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to exclude individuals from participation for legitimate reasons, including but not limited to:
(a) manipulation related to access to or execution of the giveaway;
(b) violations of these Terms and Conditions;
(c) unfair or dishonest conduct; or
(d) false or misleading information provided in connection with participation in the giveaway.
Prize, Notification, and Prize Delivery
The following prizes will be awarded:
One (1) voucher per winner redeemable through Resident Advisor or TixforGigs with a total value of €200.
The giveaway requires participants to find at least one of the ten hidden winning lighters placed in retail locations throughout Berlin (including gas stations, convenience stores/kiosks, supermarkets, and similar retail outlets).
After scanning the QR code and accessing the winner landing page, each winner must complete the registration process. Following successful registration, BIC will send the prize directly to the winner via email within a reasonable period of time. The prize will be awarded exclusively to the winner or, where applicable, to the winner’s legal representative. Exchange of the prize, personal collection, or cash payment of the prize is not permitted.
Any additional costs associated with claiming or using the prize shall be borne by the winner. Winners are solely responsible for any taxes that may arise in connection with the prize. If a winner’s email address or other required information is invalid, incorrect, or unreachable, the prize cannot be delivered and will be forfeited without replacement.
Early Termination of the Giveaway
The organizer expressly reserves the right to terminate or discontinue the giveaway at any time without prior notice and without stating reasons. This applies in particular where circumstances arise that would disrupt or prevent the giveaway from being conducted as planned.
Data Protection
Participation in the giveaway requires the submission of personal data. Participants confirm that all personal information provided, including first name, last name, and email address, is truthful and accurate.
The organizer hereby informs participants that their personal data will not be disclosed to third parties or made available for use by third parties without their consent. An exception applies to BIC Deutschland GmbH & Co. OHG and Kreuzbergkind GmbH, which have been commissioned to administer the giveaway and therefore need to collect, store, and process participant data for the purpose of conducting the giveaway.
Participants may withdraw their consent at any time. Any withdrawal must be submitted in writing to BIC Deutschland GmbH & Co. OHG at: info@bicworld.com
Upon withdrawal of consent, all collected and stored personal data relating to the participant will be deleted without undue delay.

Applicable Law
Any questions or complaints relating to the giveaway should be directed to the operator (BIC).
This giveaway shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Legal recourse is excluded.
Right to Amend
The organizer reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions where necessary due to changes in platform terms of use, legal requirements, or other circumstances affecting the implementation of the giveaway.
Severability Clause
Should any provision of these Terms and Conditions be or become wholly or partially invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. In place of the invalid provision, a legally permissible provision shall apply that most closely reflects the economic purpose and intent of the invalid provision. The same shall apply in the event of any omission or gap in these Terms and Conditions.
