Terms of Participation: Funding Program for Emerging Collectives at Alte Feuerwache Tempelhof 2026

1. Background

A funding program has emerged from the joint lighter campaign between Clubcommission Berlin e.V. and BIC, investing the campaign’s proceeds into the next generation of Berlin’s club culture.

In Berlin, club culture grows from the grassroots up. It emerges from collectives, new voices, and people setting out to create something of their own. Yet, these initial steps are often hindered by a lack of space, resources, and low-threshold access. This is precisely where the funding program steps in.

Using funds from the campaign, Clubcommission e.V., in partnership with Torhaus e.V., creates opportunities for non-commercial, community-oriented events. It enables several emerging collectives to develop, curate, and execute their own event formats at Alte Feuerwache THF.

2. Location and Framework

Alte Feuerwache THF has established itself as a model project for fair space allocation and non-commercial, collectively organized club culture. The venue embodies a clear commitment to awareness, diversity, and participation. Within this framework, Clubcommission provides the space and infrastructure, thereby lowering barriers for new collectives.

3. Target Group

The funding program is aimed at emerging collectives based in Berlin that wish to develop non-commercial, community-oriented events and are in the early stages of their journey within club culture.

4. Funding

A total of €20,000 from the lighter campaign proceeds is available for all selected collectives. Additionally, further donations may be added to the fund, increasing the total amount of support available.

Multiple collectives will be selected. Each collective will receive the use of event spaces free of charge, plus a booking budget of €2,000. In addition to financial support, the Clubcommission provides the selected collectives with space and infrastructure at the Alte Feuerwache Tempelhof to host their own event.
